Two men who allegedly tampered with a Transnet pipeline in Howick, in the KZN Midlands, are preparing for their bail application.

Patrollers from Nottingham Road police station spotted their vehicle on Curry's Post Road and arrested the pair on Monday.
Officers say a valve on the pipeline was forced open.
A firearm and the men's vehicle were seized.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority in KZN Natasha Kara says the suspects are accused of damaging and tampering with essential infrastructure.
“The accused appeared in the Howick Magistrate’s Court and the case was remanded to 18 January for bail consideration.
“The two accused will remain in custody.”
They lined up in court on Wednesday.
