Two KZN accidents claim 10 lives, including one-year-old's

Ten people have been killed in two separate accidents on the roads in KZN this morning.

In the first crash, a car and a truck collided on the N3 near Montrose just outside KZN.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says four people died on scene. He says a one-year-old-child and a fifth adult were rushed to a hospital in Harrismith for further medical attention.
"The one-year-old and one adult was very critically injured. They were treated and transported through to a hospital in Harrismith but tragically died soon after their arrival to hospital, leaving a total of six people dead in this horrific accident," he said.
In the second crash, KZN EMS' Robert Mckenzie says a taxi and a truck collided on the R102 near Sunwich Port, outside Port Shepstone on the south coast.
"Tragically four people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash. Paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services and several private ambulance services worked together at the scene to treat a total of eleven people who had sustained injuries in the crash," he said.
