Two killed in southern KZN crash

Two people have been killed in a crash on the N2 near Paddock, inland of Port Shepstone in southern KwaZulu-Natal.

KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Robert Mckenzie says medics treated three other people at the scene.

He says they had to be cut from the wreckage using the jaws of life.
"Two men sustained fatal injuries. Provincial paramedics and their colleagues from several private ambulance services treated three other people who survived the initial impact of the crash," he said.

Mckenzie says the exact cause of the crash is still not known at this stage.
"The events leading up to the collision are being investigated by police."
