Two killed in N2 three-car crash near Tinley Manor

Reports from the scene are that a car travelling on the Northbound route went over the centre median and collided with two vehicles on the other side of the roadway.  

IPSS Medical Rescue's Paul Herbst says a man and a woman lost their lives.  

Emergency services are busy trying to extricate the man's body from the driver's seat of his car.

"It's an absolute carnage at the moment. Two of the light motor vehicles are practically on top of each other. It's also very emotional - as some of the family members of the deceased are here on scene. It's very emotional and busy," Herbst said.

Meanwhile, three people were injured - one critically - in a crash involving two trucks on the N3 near the Mariannhill Toll Plaza.
