Two killed in luxury cruise blaze on Jozini Dam
Maritime safety authority Samsa says at least two people have been killed and another's missing after a fire gutted a luxury houseboat on Jozini Dam in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
It's investigating the cause of the blaze, which ripped through the passenger vessel, on Sunday.
Samsa's Vernon Keller says they're searching for a missing crew member.
He says the houseboat was engulfed in flames when emergency personnel arrived on the scene.
"The luxury boat known as the Shayamanzi was reportedly on a two-night cruise on the Jozini Dam with four crew and five passengers on board.
"Samsa with other stakeholders, including emergency services with continue to monitor the situation and update the public as and when new information becomes available."
