Two killed in Durban central crash

Two people have been killed and one person critically injured in a collision between a truck and a light motor vehicle in the Durban CBD.
ALS Paramedics say they found total carnage on the intersection between Pine Street and Gardiner Street on Sunday morning.
The two deceased males are believed to be in their thirties.
"One person was found to be severely entrapped in his vehicle and Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize the man in the vehicle while the Durban Fire Department used the Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment to try and extricate the patient.
"Once freed the man was loaded into an awaiting ambulance and rushed to a nearby Durban Hospital for the urgent care that he required. One other person sustained serious injuries and was stabilized on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before been transported to a nearby Durban Hospital for the further treatment that he required."
