Two killed in business robbery attack near Pinetown

Two men have have been shot dead during a business robbery in the Demat area outside Pinetown.

Police say the 24 and 32-year-old shop owners had been sleeping in their tuck shop when a group of men broke in.
SAPS spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the intruders shot the men multiple times.
"The suspect fled with a number of goods as well a cellphone belonging to one of the deceased. A double murder has been registered at the Mariannhill Police Station and is being investigated there. There is no arrest at this moment but police are following information. We further appeal to members of the community to work with police in that area," she says.
