Two killed after trucks and bakkie collide on M7
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
Two men working on a broken down truck have been killed after being struck by another heavy duty vehicle on the M7, south of Durban, earlier today.
Emergency services say the men had been working on the stationary vehicle on the freeway between Wakesleigh Road and the N2 - heading towards the Bluff.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says one of the men died on scene.
"It appears that one of the trucks had broken down in the left-hand lane, and then the collision occurred between another truck, as well as a bakkie. Two men were entrapped - one being under each truck - and a heavy-duty rig was used to lift the rig off him," he said.

The injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital for further treatment - but later died.
"The man was in a critical condition and was rushed through to hospital. However, after arriving in hospital, he went into cardiac arrest. He unfortunately passed away in hospital," he said.
