Two killed, 6 injured in Cornubia crash
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Two people have been killed and 6 have been hurt when a car and a bakkie crashed along the Chris Hani R102 road, in Cornubia, north of Umhlanga this morning.

Both those who died were passengers in both vehicles while the drivers were seriously hurt. Netcare 911's Shawn Herbst says at around 4.30 in the early hours they received a callout.
He says a chopper had to be dispatched due to the extent of the crash.
"Drivers of both vehicles were extremely hurt and Jaws Of Life had to be used to free them. In total 6 people sustained moderate to serious injuries", he said.
"An adult male from the car sustained life threatening injuries and had to be stabilized before being air lifted by helicopter to the nearest medical facility for further care", Herbst said.
