Two injured in Mayville school fire
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Firefighters have managed to extinguish a fire that broke out at a school in Durban's Mayville area earlier this morning.
The blaze started in the kitchen at the Mayville Secondary School - leading to an explosion.
Rescue Care's Ceron Lennox says all the cylinders that were in the kitchen have since been removed.
"All the kids have been evacuated. There were two ladies that were cooking in the kitchen - they were moderately injured, and were taken through to a local clinic nearby," she said.
It's unclear what caused the fire.
