Two female paramedics robbed at knifepoint
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Howick police are looking for a man who robbed two paramedics at knife-point in the Midlands town.

The two ER24 female
medics are said to have been on standby near the popular Howick Falls earlier today, when
they were approached by a man wielding a large knife.
ER24's Werner Vermaak says the two were forced out of their vehicle and ordered to lie down on the ground.
Vermaak says the women were robbed of two cellphones and and some cash before the man fled on foot.
"It is understood that this is the fourth incident in the area this week. At this stage, the two paramedics have been taken to a nearby hospital, but fortunately they have not sustained physical injuries. But they will be receiving trauma counselling from the company," he said.
Last month, another paramedic was stabbed and wounded in the face and hand while on duty in Pietermaritzburg. Four suspects were arrested shortly afterwards in connection to that incident.
