Two DUT students arrested for public violence remanded into custody
The case against two Durban University of Technology students who were arrested this week has been postponed to next month.
The 19-year-old woman and 26-year old man were taken into custody during protests on Monday and yesterday at the institution.

The pair, who appeared separately this morning, face charges of convening a gathering without notice, possession of a dangerous weapon, failing to comply with a police order, and obstructing traffic.
During proceedings in the case against the 19-year-old student, a request was made to the court for her to be held in the Mayville Police Station holding cells, as she has hypertension.
But Magistrate Jackie Joncke denied the request- saying there are health facilities at Westville Prison.
When the second student appeared - the court heard that he has another pending case – with near identical charges.
