Two male nurses stationed at two private hospitals in Durban have been arrested on charges of fraud.
This after the bank card of a patient who had died was stolen and used at various stores.
Police say the patient was the business partner of the owner of an auto shop in Umbilo - with whom he had a joint business account.
Officers say the owner noticed the account was being used while his partner laid in hospital.

The investigating officer visited one of the stores where purchases were made with the card.
Video footage showed a 40-year-old nurse in full uniform using the bank card.
Police say some of the goods that were purchased were recovered.
The nurse is said to have pointed officers towards his friend, a 45-year-old nurse from a private facility in Umhlanga.
Police say it is alleged that the card's pin code was saved on the cellphone of the patient.
Officers recovered the phone at a second-hand cellphone shop on Point Road.
Police say both nurses are repeat offenders.
