Two die in Ballito microlight aircraft crash, CAA probes accident

The South African Civil Aviation Authority says investigators are probing a plane accident that claimed the lives of two people in Ballito, north of Durban.

The microlight aircraft crashed shortly after take off yesterday.
Spokesperson, Kabelo Ledwaba says the Accident and Incident Investigation Division (AIID) is aware of a fatal aircraft accident.
"There were two people onboard. Unfortunately both occupants were fatally injured. The aircraft was operated as part of a training exercise," Ledwaba said.
