Two arrested for Youth Day murder of Wentworth teen

KwaZulu-Natal authorities have confirmed that they have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a teenage boy in Wentworth.
The boy was killed on Youth Day.
It's understood that the boy was at a tuckshop buying a cool drink when suspects approached him and opened fire.
Police spokesperson Thembeka Mbhele says 21-year-old Tyrese Pretorius and 35-year-old Codey Hoffenberg were arrested by members of the Provincial Organised Crime Narcotics team on Wednesday.

They made a brief appearance in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday morning.
The matter was postponed to next week for a formal bail application.
They are both facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
