Trump accuses Obama of tapping his phones
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
President Donald Trump has asked Congress to look into whether the Obama administration abused its investigative powers.
In a series of tweets, he's accused his predecessor of ordering a wiretap on his phones at Trump Tower to undermine him during the elections.
One of the tweets read - "How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate."

Obama, via a spokesman, denied Trump's new allegation as "simply false."
While, FBI Director James Comey has asked the Justice Department to publicly refute Trump's unsubstantiated claims - saying "there is no evidence to support it, and it insinuates that the FBI broke the law."
Some Republicans have distanced themselves from the claims. They have urged the president to let the House and Senate intelligence committees investigate the matter.
Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

Is it legal for a sitting President to be "wire tapping" a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!

I'd bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!
