Truck surfer, driver killed in horrific N3 crash
Emergency services have confirmed that a truck surfer and a truck driver have been killed on the N3 following a horrific crash Wednesday night.
Emer-G-Med says the roadway in the Van Reenen's Pass had to be closed to traffic for several hours while police conducted an investigation.
The area was only cleared during the early hours of Thursday morning by clean up teams.
The medical service's spokesperson Kyle van Reenen says when they arrived at the scene, they found that two trucks had collided.

He says upon further inspection, a second man was found pinned between the two wreckages.
"Two heavy-duty vehicles had collided in a rear-end fashion, with the front motor vehicle careening off the roadway before smashing into an armco barrier, leaving the driver deceased on arrival.
"A second male having sustained fatal injuries was also declared deceased on arrival by paramedics. It is believed at this stage that the second male was holding on to the back of the truck at the time of the collision."
