Truck crashes into block of flats in Durban
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A man has escaped unharmed after he lost control of his truck and ploughed into a block of flats in Durban's Cato Manor.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said when they arrived at the apartments in Ridgeview on Wednesday, they found the driver trapped in the wreckage.
Jamieson said the Durban Fire Department was called to assist.
"While Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the man together with EMRS paramedics, the rescue continued."
"After approximately an hour later, the patient was cut free from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment. He was carefully removed from the truck before being carefully transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required."
"One occupant who was inside the flat during the time of the crash sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on scene by ALS Paramedics before being transported through to hospital."
