Tributes pour in for Gugu Zulu
Updated | By AlgoaFm News
Tributes continue to pour in for racing driver Gugu Zulu.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation confirmed yesterday that Zulu died while taking part in the Trek4Mandela expedition on Mount Kilimanjaro.
TV and motoring personality Marius Roberts says Zulu did all the hot-lap filming for Ignition GT, an insert on the DSTV motoring show Ignition TV.
Roberts says the entire crew is shattered by the news.
"It hasn't sunk it. Racing drivers live a great life and they put themselves in danger so you don't expect to hear the news of him doing something really good with his wife and this is the result.
"I'm still in complete shock, I mean Gugu was a fit guy, a healthy guy" he said.
Others took to social media to express their shock at Zulu's death:
Devastating news about #GuguZulu's passing. Deepest condolences to his wife, friends and family.
