Tributes pour in for Clive Barker

As tributes continue to pour in for coaching legend, Clive Barker members of the sports fraternity are paying their respects to his family in Durban.

Barker died on Saturday at the age of 78 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Known affectionately as Clive 'The Dog' Barker, the former coach led Bafana Bafana to victory at the Africa Cup of Nations on home soil in 1996.

Helman Mkhalele. who was part of the winning squad, says Barker was an excellent manager, who had the ability to motivate players.
"He assembled a group of talented players and those players that he assembled they had different personalities. He managed to put them together and work as a team and work while respecting each other."
Sports Minister Zizi Kodwa, Safa President Jordaan, and former Bafana captain Neil Tovey, are among those visiting the Barker family in Glenwood on Monday morning.
