Updated | By Jacaranda fm and Newswatch
Tributes have been streaming in for renowned human rights lawyer - George Bizos - who's died at the age of 92.

President Cyril Ramaphosa broke the news of his passing during an online discussion with editors' forum, SANEF, last night.
Ramaphosa said Bizos' health deteriorated in recent weeks but that the family of the distinguished lawyer assured him he was comfortable in his final hours.
Bizos' family says he died of natural causes and peacefully at home, in the afternoon.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation says Bizos - a giant of South African history and of global struggles for justice - was a friend and trusted adviser to the organisation.
Over his long legal career, Bizos represented prominent political activists including - Walter Sisulu and Nelson Mandela in both the Treason and Rivonia Trials.
In recent years, he was one of the lawyers that represented the affected families during the Marikana inquiry.

I am gutted. 😥 He said "call me George" the first time we met in the car on the way to a TV interview in 2014. My heart almost stopped when I saw him slowly make his way to the vehicle I was seated in and he has had a place in it ever since. Always grateful ❤

Sad to learn of the passing of legal icon, Adv George Bizos today. Always on the right side of history, his legal acumen & moral compass were always inspiring from the days I read of the Rivonia trial to when I followed the Tsvangirai treason trial. #RIPGeorgeBizos pic.twitter.com/6Kb4jcoTQ4
