Tributes pour in after Riky Rick's sudden passing

Tributes are pouring in for South African musician and artist Riky Rick.

The Sidlukotini hitmaker passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Johannesburg.
The family confirmed the 34-year-old rapper, whose name is Rikhado Makhado, died in the early hours of Wenesday morning in Johannesburg.
Makhado leaves behind his wife, two children, his mother and five siblings.
Makhado grew up in KwaMashu, north of Durban.

They have asked for privacy and say that details of the funeral and memorial will be confirmed at a later stage.
"The Makhado family humbly request privacy as they go through this extremely difficult period of grieving. The family has not appointed a spokesperson at this point and they ask that you please keep them in your prayers.
The family are also deeply thankful for and appreciates the countless messages of love and support received. These are felt deeply."
Makhado founded Cotton Fest, a music and lifestyle festival, which was first held in 2019.
He had been preparing for this year's installment, planned for two days next month in Newtown, Johannesburg.
