Tributes after anti-apartheid activist Paul David dies

Tributes have poured in for anti-apartheid struggle veteran Devadass Paul David.

The 79-year-old died of natural causes at his home in KwaDukuza on Thursday.
David was the last surviving member of the Consulate Six.
A friend of David and the family, Ela Gandhi says she's known David from the 50s.

Gandhi says David always worked in the interest of the community.
"Providing legal help to people, offering not even to charge anything. He lived a simple life.
"He was involved in a number of organisations, a wide spectrum of community organisations. The Durban housing action committee, Verulam housing committee. He was involved in the legal association," says Gandhi.
