Trapped boy rescued after Mooi River bank bursts
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
A 12-year-old boy has escaped unharmed after being trapped between two streams in Mooi River.
KZN paramedics say the banks of a nearby dam had burst, causing the streams near the Brandville Location to overflow.
ER24's Russel Meiring says the youngster was successfully brought to safety.
"Paramedics and fire services immediately set out using one of the long ladders from the fire truck to reach the child. Once the child was brought to safety, paramedics assessed the boy to find that he escaped without injury.
"No further injuries were reported found on scene," he said.
