Traffic volumes expected to increase as holiday season kicks-off
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The N3 Toll Concession says the number of holidaymakers coming from Gauteng and the inland provinces should start picking up from this afternoon.
Spokesperson, Con Roux says the route is already quite busy.
"I spent the last two days on the road and it was noticeable how many vehicles there were with the usual trailers and mountain bikes, which was great to see. The holiday season has kicked off, although not in earnest just yet. We are expecting Friday and Saturday to be relatively busy," he says.
Roux says the real rush will kick-in next weekend.
"The peak traffic days will be, we believe, Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th of December. That's when the real rush from city to coast will occur," he says.
