Tourism sector ready to welcome international travellers

The tourism and hospitality industry says it's looking forward to welcoming back international travellers into the country.

The Federated Hospitality Association of SA says it's keen to host foreign tourists again - as they will help the industry recover from the national lockdown.
Earlier this month, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the reopening of the country's borders for international travel from Thursday.

FEDHASA's CEO Lee Zama says international tourists will boost the impressive booking numbers made by local travellers so far.
"We do need this for the activity within the tourism sector to have some sight of growth."
"The international tourists bring in 44 percent of the tourism revenue for the country so its a very big market for us."
