Tourism Indaba: SA looks to become ultimate travel destination
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Tourism KZN says more African buyers have come to the Tourism Indaba who are showing an interest in our country as a travel destination.
The Indaba which wraps up tomorrow has seen the Durban ICC abuzz with activity since Friday. Tourism KZN's Bongani Mthiyane says this year with their stall they tried to push the envelop to do new things.
He says they have improved on the quality of buyers - hoping for quality meetings to come out of the Indaba.
"The economy around the world is not looking well. A lot of people are not travelling as much as in other years but as a destination we know that to us this will be an advantage," he said.
"We are hoping for more concrete results, for more business in 2016 and to increase our numbers which have been good numbers since 2015. It is just that we would love to see more positive numbers again," Mthiyane said.
