Top ANC eThekwini official granted R5k bail

The ANC's regional secretary in eThekwini, Musa Nciki, and his bodyguard have been granted R5 000 bail in the Durban Magistrate’s Court.
The politician and his protector, Ivan Khoza, were arrested in the Umhlanga Rocks, north of Durban, on Wednesday night.
It's on charges of reckless and negligent driving, disregarding a red traffic signal and operating an unlicensed vehicle.

"The state is alleging that the men were driving along Lighthouse Road in Umhlanga on 06 March 2024 when they committed the offences," says the spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority in KZN, Natasha Kara.
"They were released on bail of R 5000 each, and the case was remanded to 10 April 2024 for further investigation."
The NPA could not confirm reports that a third suspect appeared in a different court.
