‘Senior ANC official’ in eThekwini nabbed on firearm charge

Three suspects, including a man believed to be a senior ANC official in eThekwini, are due to line up in a Durban court on Thursday.
The trio were nabbed on Wednesday night in Umhlanga Rocks, north of Durban.
KZN police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says they had been driving on Lighthouse Road when they were arrested.

"Three suspects aged 33, 38 and 43 were arrested on charges of reckless and negligent driving, contravention of National Road Traffic Act, failure to display valid registration plate, defeating the ends of justice and possession of firearms without a permit."
