Tongaat residents, north of Durban, are left traumatised after a man fell to his death while cutting trees near a block of flats.
Police say the 36-year-old tree feller had been working near Sharlimer Gardens when he lost his balance and fell. Spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says the man was declared dead at the scene.
"Yesterday, we received a complaint about a man who fell from a tree and he died at the Tongaat area. On arrival, we noticed that it was a male. We then opened a case of inquest. The matter is under investigation right now," Zwane said.
Reaction Unit says he sustained a fatal head injury.
