Tongaat taxi boss shot dead

KwaZulu-Natal authorities are investigating the murder of a man believed to be a taxi boss after he was gunned down at a petrol station in Tongaat on the north coast.

According to reports from the scene, the man drove into the garage in his BMW and was ambushed by at least two people at the service station.

He was shot after he got out of his car.Medics say the man suffered multiple wounds and was found lying face down on the ground on the forecourt.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Paul Herbst says advanced life support intervention was initiated as soon as medics reached the scene.

"Unfortunately all efforts were exhausted and the patient was declared dead having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body."
