Tongaat River Bridge in Ballito to reopen on Thursday
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Provincial Transport authorities will reopen the M4 at the Tongaat River Bridge in Ballito on Thursday morning.

The freeway in that area has been inaccessible for more than a year after the bridge was left compromised by the floods in April last year.
Residents and businesses were then forced to branch off onto the N2 highway where they had to pay toll fees.

Department spokesperson, Kwanele Ncalane says even though the road will be reopened, there's still a bit of work left to be done.
"For instance, the surface they still need to put new tar that will be done in January and there will still be work that will continue. But the structure itself will be a full opening."
