Security tightened at memorial of slain ANCYL leader

Security is expected to be tight at the memorial service of slain ANC Youth League leader, Sthe Mhlongo on Thursday.

Mhlongo was shot outside his home in Mpompeni, near Howick, by gunmen dressed in police uniform last week.
The murder occurred just days after Lungisani Mnguni, a youth league leader in the Moses Mabhida region, was also gunned down.
The shootings have sparked fear within the league, with some members calling on government for protection.
The league's Mandla Shange says Mhlongo will be buried on Saturday.
"If there are continuous killings and the killings are continuously termed as political killings but there is no action that has been taken and there is no report on investigations - it's obvious that the people who are killing other people are with us in the society. They are not coming from heaven, killing people and going back to heaven," he says.
