Thunderstorms and heavy downpours forecast for KZN
Brace yourselves for heavy downpours and possible flooding.
The South African Weather Service is forecasting heavy rains and thunderstorms for most of the province throughout the weekend. The severe weather conditions are only expected to ease on Tuesday.
Thunderstorms are expected later this afternoon.
The weather service's Wisani Maluleke says people should prepare for lots of rain.
"We are expecting an 80% chance of thunderstorms and showers from Saturday afternoon with heavy downpours expected to continue into Sunday", he said.
"Then in the northern parts of the province, severe thunderstorms are also expected there leading to possible flooding", Maluleke said.
