Three pupils injured after minibus catches alight on N3
Three school children have sustained minor injuries after the minibus taxi they were travelling in caught fire on the N3 near Sherwood.
It is understood the primary school pupils had been on their way home from school when the vehicle caught alight.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the injured children were treated on the scene - before being transported to hospital.
"At this stage the exact cause of the fire is unknown. However, the necessary authorities are in attendance and will be investigating further. The on-ramp from Sherwood towards Durban has been closed, and I will advise all motorists to avoid that area at all costs," he said.
