Three men shot dead in Shayamoya
An armed gang is still on the run after killing three men in Hazelmere's Shayamoya area, north of Durban, on Sunday.
Verulam police are after six gunmen.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Thembeka Mbele says the victims were ambushed while they were drinking outside a home in the afternoon.
"We can confirm that charges of murder were opened at Verulam police station for investigation.
"It is alleged that on 14 November 2021 at 01:30, three male victims aged 30 were at Shayamoya, Hazelmere area in Verulam when they were fatally shot by six unknown suspects.
"They sustained gunshot wounds to the head. The motive for the killing is unknown and subject to an investigation."
