Three killed in Pongola crash

Three people have been killed in a car crash in Pongola in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

KZN Emergency Medical Service's spokesperson Robert McKenzie says the crash involved two cars.

The crash happened on Wednesday on the R66 near the Pongola River.

"Paramedics treated four patients at the scene of the crash and have transported them to hospital for continued medical care. 

"The exact cause of the crash is being investigated by authorities."
