All three victims are believed to be in their twenties.
Foreshore Drive is a long narrow road that runs along the Bluff beaches.
Two women and a man sustained gunshot wounds to their upper bodies along Foreshore Drive last night.

Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says paramedics responded to the call for help at about 11pm.He said the first responders immediately called for more help when they arrived at the beach.
"Multiple people had been shot, with two people sustaining critical injuries," said Jamieson.
All three victims are believed to be in their twenties.
"Once they were stabilised on scene, they were taken to a nearby hospital for further care."

Jamieson said police cordoned off the area around the crime scene last night -- preventing vehicles from accessing the road.Foreshore Drive is a long narrow road that runs along the Bluff beaches.
It provides access to Ansteys and Brighton Beach and is only accessible to motorists from one entry point off Marine Drive.
