Three due in following Estcourt murder

It is understood the victim, Bongani Ndaba was involved in a brawl on Friday night after leaving a tavern in Wembezi.

It is alleged he shot and wounded one person.

The police's Thulani Zwane says the 40-year-old was then assaulted in a mob justice incident following the shooting.

"Community members in the area then started to attack the victim. He was taken to hospital for treatment, but died later," said Zwane.

Zwane says a case of murder was opened.

"As a result of their investigations, officers arrested the three suspects within 24 hours."

A firearm thought to have been taken from the victim was also recovered by police.
