KwaZulu-Natal police have launched a manhunt for the assailants involved in the murders of three men in two separate incidents, north of Durban.
In the latest, a passerby found the body of a man near a drain in Cottonlands, Verulam, early Wednesday morning.
Officers says the victim, who was believed to be in 30s, was stabbed multiple times.
They suspect that he was killed somewhere and his body was dumped in the area.
Just after midnight, police were called out to a shooting in Osindisweni.
It's alleged two friends were sitting in a room when gunmen opened fire on them.
A 47-year-old man died on the scene.
His friend was rushed to hospital where he died on arrival.
