Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Three burnt bodies have been removed from a looted and torched building in Durban central.
They were discovered by crews on Friday afternoon while they were inspecting the damage at the property on Monty Naicker Street.
The building was destroyed during the unrest.
“Metro police search and rescue as well as SAPS search and rescue had entered the building and found the three badly-decomposed bodies,” says Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst.
He says an investigation will be launched into the exact cause of death.
