Thousands gather for Madikizela-Mandela State memorial

The 37 000 seater Orlando Stadium is still filling up, as mourners stream into the venue ahead of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's memorial service.

There is a lively atmosphere at the Soweto stadium, with the ANC Women's League leading the crowd in song.
Madikizela-Mandela's family, loved ones and those who worked with her will pay tribute to her today.

Deputy President David Mabuza is expected to deliver the main address at the memorial.
Rose Zingitwa, a teacher from Orlando West High School in Soweto, is there with her matric class.
Mam' Winnie passed away at the age of 81 last week.
The struggle stalwart will be laid to rest on Saturday.
