Thousands expected in South Coast during Africa Bike Week

Thousands of bikers from across the country are revving up for the final stretch of this year's installment of the biggest event on the south coast.
CEO of Ugu South Coast Tourism, Justin Mackrory, says biking enthusiasts descending on the Paradise of the Zulu Kingdom has not only been great for tourism but has seen the revenue generated in access of R100 million.
Mackrory says the festival has recorded well over eight thousand participants as of Thursday.
"These last formal events finish tomorrow but bikers start going back home on Monday. They started arriving on Freedom Day because they could see that it would be a nice long weekend down here at the paradise of the Zulu Kingdom," he said.
"Some of them have had a very nice holiday as well as a long weekend as the weather in the last few days has been absolutely outstanding," Mackrory said.
The Bike Week comes to a close tomorrow.
