Thousands expected to attend ANC election manifesto launch

ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe says Nelson Mandela Bay will feel the impact of the party's presence.
He was addressing the media this morning on the state of readiness for the launch of the party's election manifesto at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium tomorrow.
The ruling party is expecting as many as 100 000 members to converge on Nelson Mandela Bay to hear the address by ANC president Jacob Zuma.

Mantashe said that economic impact on the city by the presence of all the ANC members will be huge.
"Already in terms of the revenue for the city. contribution for the whole week will not be same. Sales will be up, hotels will be full. Everybody is feeling our presence, we are here. The ANC has arrived," he said.
