The Durban High Court has heard Durban businessman Thoshan Panday plans to apply for a relaxation of his bail conditions.
Panday and several other people are facing fraud and corruption charges involving a police accommodation tender for the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
His co-accused include KwaZulu-Natal's former police commissioner, Mmamonnye Ngobeni, two former police officers and four of Panday's relatives.
They all briefly appeared in court on Tuesday.
The Investigating Directorate's Sindisiwe Seboka says the case has been postponed to May.
"The High Court of South Africa: KwaZulu Natal Division, Durban postponed the R47 million Soccer World Cup fraud and corruption case to 04 May 2022 for the state to provide further particulars as requested through correspondence by the accused.
"Toshan Panday has also requested through an application that his bail conditions be relaxed. That matter will be heard through a separate judge on a date still to be determined.
"The state will bring a counter application for the cancellation of his bail."
