Third robbery in a week leaves elderly Tongaat couple in hospital

paramedics have treated an elderly man and woman who were assaulted during a
house robbery in Tongaat, north of Durban.

The intruders are said to have broken into the couple's Seatides home last night.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Dylan Meyrick says it wasn’t the first incident at the couple’s home.
"On arrival, it was found that both elderly male and female had been assaulted with blunt objects and were in serious condition.

“They were treated on scene by paramedics and transported to a local facility for further care. This was the third home invasion the couple has suffered in seven days.
“Tongaat police are investigating the incident.”
