Tensions rise as Eskom, trade union deal not yet reached

Incidents of intimidation and violence toward some of the staff at Eskom's power stations have worsened - as the power utility warns of possible load shedding this week.
This comes as three trade unions and the power producer have so far shown no clear signs of a wage agreement.
Eskom's Khulu Phasiwe says from yesterday disgruntled groups have been threatening workers both at their place of work and their homes, while some property at some power stations has been damaged and a truck carrying coal hijacked.
He says the threats have now spread to KZN.
