Ten years for King Shaka drug trafficker

The Verulam Magistrate's Court has convicted and sentenced a man to ten years direct imprisonment for drug trafficking.
Ibrahim Cook, 31, was arrested at King Shaka International Airport on 10 December 2014 after he was found in possession of one kilogram of cocaine worth R300 000.
Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says he was coming from Sao Paulo in Brazil.
"Cook was arrested in 2014 at King Shaka International Airport where he was coming from Brazil.
"Hawks members from serious organised crime investigation received information about him that he was trafficking drugs.
"He was intercepted and his luggage was searched. Upon searching the luggage 1kg of cocaine powder was found. He was subsequently arrested."
