Updated | By Steve Bhengu
An 18 year old is recovering in hospital after coming into some difficulty while on a mountain hike with friends at the Drakensberg.

According to ER24 services the teenager became dehydrated when he went on a longer than expected hike.
This then caused him to start experiencing chest pains and difficulties breathing.
At this point his friends called for help which saw Westline Aviation along with Mountain Rescue Medics respond and airlifting the patient from the trail to their base in the foothills of the mountain.
From there he was transported to a private hospital in Hilton.
