Teen with cerebral palsy dies after choking on biscuit at Tongaat home

A Tongaat family is grieving after their daughter choked on a biscuit and died.

She was a 16-year-old girl with cerebral palsy.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says the incident happened at the family's home at Chelmsford Heights on Sunday.
"A 16-year-old woman allegedly choked eating a biscuit, and an inquest docket has been opened for investigation at Tongaat police station. The circumstances surrounding the incidents are still being investigated," she said.
Reaction Unit SA says paramedics spent some time trying to resuscitate the teenager.
